Meet your Stennis FRG Board Members

 
President – Tricia Clark

Hello, my name is Tricia Clark; I have been a military spouse for 8 years. My husband and I met in San Diego when he was stationed on the USS Constellation. We have been stationed in San Diego, Oak Harbor, and here in Bremerton. We have two handsome boys, Jacob 6 and Logan 2.

I am so excited about being your FRG President this year. The FRG is a very important part of the military family. I think that it is vital to the families while the ship is deployed and it is equally important that we stay active when the ship is home. By being part of the FRG I have met a lot of great people and learned things about the Navy and this community that I would not have known otherwise. I look forward to meeting all of our spouses and seeing you all at our FRG Functions.

 
Vice President – Brittany VanLeeuwen

Hi, my name is Brittany VanLeeuwen. I am 23 years old, and have been a Navy spouse for one year. I met my husband Dennis back in Jacksonville, FL where we both are originally from. The Stennis is my husband’s first duty station, and so far we really like it here. I am very excited to be Vice-President of the JCS FRG this year. I have met a lot of great people here, and am looking forward to meeting more.

  
Treasure – Dawn Hamrick

Hello my name is Dawn and I am very excited to be the Treasure of the FRG for a second term. Through the FRG I have met many wonderful people with whom I will be lifelong friends and I hope that other spouses will come out and meet new people and form friendships as well. I have almost 20 years of bookkeeping experience, so I hope I will be able to fulfill my role as treasurer successfully. I have been married to my husband Michael for a little over ten years and we have two boys, David (9) and Sean (4). Michael has been in the military for almost 18 years and has had many wonderful experiences. My husband and I met and married in Virginia Beach, VA, where he served on the USS George Washington and then we were transferred to NATTC Pensacola, FL. From Florida we came to Washington and hope to make this our final stop. My father was also in the Navy for 22 years so I have a very broad range of experiences to draw from. I look forward to continue being an active part of the FRG and encourage everyone to get involved and come make some new friends.

Secretary – Heather Hinkel                                                                              

Hello, I’m Heather Hinkel. I have been a Navy wife for 2 years. My husband, Tom, has been in the Navy for 3 and a half years. Tom and I were high school sweethearts and actually grew up on the same street. We had our first child, Grant, in September. The Stennis is our second duty station. We moved to Bremerton from USCENTCOM on MacDill AFB in sunny Tampa, Florida. Therefore, this is my first Navy command so I am learning a lot as the time goes by. I am also learning to appreciate the sun and nice weather while it is around.  Since we arrived here, I have met a great deal of people through the FRG. I’m eager to learn more about all of you as I continue to meet many new faces.
