Committees
The success of the Family Readiness Group depends on the volunteers that help plan, organize and run the different activities and events that the FRG coordinates. Without volunteers the FRG would not be able to hold all the activities and events that we do so please consider volunteering on one of our committees.
If you are interested in volunteering please send an e-mail to: jcsfrg@yahoo.com.
The following are the active FRG committees:
Welcoming/Hospitality Committee:
The Welcoming/Hospitality Committee is responsible for welcoming families to the FRG and to the area. The committee provides a wealth of information about the area and offers a friendly face to our new families.
Fundraising Committee:
The fundraising committee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing all fundraising activities in support of the USS John C. Stennis FRG. Please see the “fundraisers” section of the FRG web page for more information about current available items and upcoming fundraising events.
Helping Hands Committee:
The helping hands committee helps our families in need. They provide resources and help for families during difficult times. The helping hands committee does many different things to help our families, including: organizing meals for families after surgery, help with childcare in emergency situations, and making visits to the hospital.
Social Committee:
The social committee helps the FRG members stay connected with one another by planning various social activities. These activities include: planning socials, banner signing parties, children’s parties, and many other social opportunities.
The JCS FRG is an organization of family members and friends and does not officially represent the Department of the Navy or the USS JOHN C. STENNIS
